Missouri Ozarks Community Health works closely with the Southwest Missouri Area Health Education Center located on the MSU campus in Springfield, MO.
AHEC is a national program made up of a network of health professionals, educational programs and community-based organizations striving to improve health care in underserved communities through education across the nation. MOCH participates in this program by allowing any students interested in the medical field to utilize our facility for experiential learning. Some of these opportunities include, job shadowing for high school students as well as clinical rotations and “hands – on” experience for undergraduate and graduate students. We also allow students currently enrolled in Medical School to fulfill their student rotational requirements at our facility.
