We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our nursing team at our Ava clinic. The successful candidate will work directly with a medical provider to assist with routine patient care and perform a wide variety of medical procedures. We offer the option of a 4- or 5-day work week for flexibility.

We are looking for a motivated, results-driven professional with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to think independently and act decisively when needed. Preference will be given to the candidates with current Medical Assistant certification or registration. Candidates should have a solid understanding of medical procedures and the ability to adhere to strict hygiene standards. A willingness to travel to other clinic locations is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Place patients in exam rooms, record vital signs, current complaints, and relevant medical history.
  • Assist the medical provider in patient treatment and specialized procedures.
  • Provide patient education, and applicable preventative services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and information.
  • Document all patient contacts, triage phone calls, and refer complicated illnesses to medical providers.

Behavioral Health—LCSW/LMSW/LPC—Public School Setting

Missouri Ozarks Community Health is currently accepting applications for a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to be based in the Ava Public Schools .

This position will offer comprehensive behavioral health services in the public-school setting with children and adolescents in individual and group environments. The Provider will be responsible for initial and follow-up assessment and treatment for students by preparing and developing individual treatment plans or “action plans.” This position will advocate for students and families and provide crisis intervention to students on an as-needed basis. May collaborate with medical care team for referrals.

Candidate must possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills in interactions with patients, families, and health care team. The candidate must also exhibit the ability to work independently and within a team setting and possess excellent time management skills and the ability to clearly and concisely document sessions. This position may travel to local sites as requested by the administration.

Applicant must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Master Social Worker/Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); experience working with children preferred.
