Missouri Ozarks Community Health Announces Rollout of Epic and MyChart

MOCH-Team

AVA, Mo. (March 12, 2026) – Missouri Ozarks Community Health will transition to Epic and MyChart for its electronic health record and patient portal services on April 7.  This technology will allow patients more access to their information and enhance the way the Missouri Ozarks team is able to work.  To make sure the rollout goes smoothly, all clinics across the Missouri Ozarks Community Health system will close on April 6.  “It’ll be a dress rehearsal of sorts for our team,” said Randall Gann, CEO Of Missouri Ozarks Community Health.  “It’ll give them a chance to work through any remaining challenges they have with the system, without the possibility of impacting patient care.”

With MyChart, patients will be able to access their health records anytime by using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.  They will then be able to schedule appointments, send their provider confidential messages, request prescription refills, view test results, complete medical history forms, etc.  “We really think this will be a much more user-friendly way for our patients to access their information,” said Melanie Breeding, the revenue cycle manager at Missouri Ozarks.

“This is a huge step for our team and will be seen as a benefit to working at Missouri Ozarks for any prospective employees,” said Jennifer Heinlein, chief operations officer at Missouri Ozarks Community Health.  “Major hospital systems and medical schools nationwide use Epic.”  Doctors, nurses, and other staff will use Epic for clinical documentation and billing.

A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes to make the transition to Epic and MyChart go more smoothly for both staff and patients.  “We appreciate everyone’s patience with us as we’ve had to close clinics on some days for training and make changes to provider schedules so they could focus on additional training,” said Paul Adams, IT Manager at Missouri Ozarks Community Health.  “But it was all to make sure that everything goes well on our April 7 launch date.”

Patients can download the MyChart app on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.  Information about how to sign in will be available closer to the launch date.  Patients needing help with signing up will be able to talk to a Missouri Ozarks staff member.
