MOUNTAIN GROVE, Mo. (April 23, 2026) – Missouri Ozarks Community Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Angela Collins, a board-certified pediatrician, to the Mountain Grove and Cabool clinics. “Bringing a pediatrician of Dr. Collins’ caliber to Missouri Ozarks is really exciting for our communities and for our care teams,” said Randall Gann, CEO of Missouri Ozarks Community Health. “At Missouri Ozarks we’re very focused on strengthening health care in our rural communities, and the addition of Dr. Collins helps ensure children in our area can receive high-quality pediatric care where they live.”
Dr. Collins earned her undergraduate degree from Southwest Baptist University and her medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia. She began her pediatric career in Mountain Grove and spent the last 10 years practicing in a hospital setting in the Bolivar area. She now returns to rural practice, closer to her hometown of Houston, Missouri. “It’s so rewarding to provide care for children in a small-town setting,” said Dr. Collins. “I enjoy caring for children of all ages, from those in need of a basic well-child exam to children with complex medical needs, who may require coordination among multiple specialists.”
Dr. Collins will join an established pediatric care team that includes Tanya Calhoun, a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. “This is a major step forward for pediatric care in our part of the Ozarks,” Calhoun said. “For a long time, families have had to travel long distances or rely on family practice providers when specialized pediatric care wasn’t available locally. While family care providers do exceptional work, many parents want the option of seeing a pediatric specialist, and now they have that option.”
Dr. Collins will begin seeing patients in Mountain Grove on Mondays starting May 4 and will begin a full schedule in June, splitting her time between the Mountain Grove and Cabool clinics. Missouri Ozarks Community Health is a federally qualified health center established in 1996, serving Douglas, Wright, Texas and Ozark counties.
