THEODOSIA, Mo. (June 23, 2026) – Missouri Ozarks Community Health will open its Theodosia Clinic on July 6 with Blake Throne, a family nurse practitioner, joining the care team. “We know this has been a long wait for the community of Theodosia,” said Randall Gann, CEO of Missouri Ozarks Community Health. “This transition will be a positive step for the community, and we are excited to bring Blake’s experience and commitment to patient care to Theodosia.”
The clinic has been closed since Missouri Ozarks Community Health purchased the building from Theodosia Family Medical Clinic and has since undergone a full renovation. “We had to paint, install new flooring, and complete necessary renovations to bring the building up to Missouri Ozarks’ standards,” said Jennifer Heinlein. “We hope patients will notice the improvements right away and see the clinic as a true healthcare home.”
Blake Throne earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. He previously worked as a travel nurse and in hospice care. Most recently, he served as a nurse practitioner at a heart and vascular surgery clinic in Arkansas. “There’s no long-term care that you get to take part in working in surgery,” said Throne. “I’m pretty excited that with this job I’ll get to be part of this community and help patients get healthier and connect patients to all the resources that the Missouri Ozarks provides. It’s going to be life-changing, hopefully, for the people of this community.”
Throne will see patients Monday through Thursday. Paul Thompson, a nurse practitioner who served patients at the former Theodosia clinic, will also join the team and see patients on Fridays and as needed. The clinic will offer on-site primary medical care, with telehealth options available. Additional services may be provided in the future.
The clinic is at 4900 U.S. Highway 160 in Theodosia and will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The number for the Theodosia clinic will remain (417) 273-2300. That number will become operational on June 29, with patients able to make appointments then. Until then, questions can be directed to the Ava clinic at (417) 683-5739 or the Gainesville clinic at (417) 679-2775.
Missouri Ozarks Community Health will host an open house at the clinic soon. Community members will be invited to tour the clinic, meet providers and enjoy refreshments.
