MANSFIELD, Mo. (June 30, 2025) – Missouri Ozarks Community Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Matthew Brown to our medical team at Mansfield. Dr. Brown is the first physician Missouri Ozarks has had at the Mansfield clinic in many years. “We are thrilled to bring a local physician to our Mansfield clinic,” said Jennifer Heinlein, chief operations officer at Missouri Ozarks. “Dr. Brown’s experience is going to blend well with the nurse practitioners in that clinic, adding to the already great care that is offered there.”
Dr. Brown attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. He went on to do his residency at Lone Star Family Health Center, a federally qualified health center near Houston, Texas. He moved to Missouri 12 years ago and enjoys working in the Ozarks. Dr. Brown said he is excited to join another federally qualified health center. “One thing that I’ve really liked about this area is that the challenge of rural medicine is very professionally satisfying,” said Dr. Brown. “I like the spectrum of family practice here, from babies to older folks, and I like the challenges of helping people who may have difficulty accessing care.”
Dr. Brown has worked in both family medicine and emergency medicine. “Dr. Brown comes to Missouri Ozarks Community Health with an amazing background and set of skills to help us expand our services, including our upcoming substance use disorder treatment options,” said Randall Gann, CEO at Missouri Ozarks. “We are very happy to have Dr. Brown join us and we look forward to better serving our communities through these expanded services.” While Dr. Brown will primarily provide patient care in Mansfield, he will also supervise the substance use treatment program that is expected to begin at Missouri Ozarks later this summer.
Dr. Brown will provide care starting in mid-July for patients at the Mansfield clinic. His schedule will be Tuesday-Friday. To make an appointment with him, please call 417-924-8809. The clinic is located at 804 North Highway 5.
