THEODOSIA, Mo. (March 18, 2026) – Missouri Ozarks Community Health is excited to announce that it will expand into the community of Theodosia with the purchase of the Theodosia Family Medical Clinic. This agreement with the clinic in Theodosia will allow Missouri Ozarks to further its mission to provide medical care to all in Ozark County. “Working in rural health, we know what a struggle it can be for folks to access care,” said Randall Gann, CEO of Missouri Ozarks Community Health. “This agreement will ensure that people continue to receive high-quality primary medical care close to home. We greatly appreciate and respect what Theodosia Family Medical Clinic has done for the community and we will continue that legacy.”
The Theodosia Family Medical Clinic has served the community for more than a decade, caring for about 1,500 patients each year. “Theodosia is a small, close-knit community, but it’s also a lake town that welcomes many tourists,” said Jennifer Heinlein, chief operations officer at Missouri Ozarks. “After 20 years of serving Ozark County, we understand how vital it is to have consistent access to care.” Missouri Ozarks Community Health will spend the next few months preparing the building for the transition, including a few minor renovations. The team will work hard to keep any temporary closures to a minimum.
Efforts are also underway to hire a new nurse practitioner for the clinic in Theodosia. “We will begin the interview process for those staff members who are able and choose to join the team at Missouri Ozarks Community Health,” said Jennifer Owens, human resources director at Missouri Ozarks. “We know how important it is to have local expertise, so we want to retain as much of the talent there as we can.”
CEO Randall Gann said he is excited about the continued growth of Missouri Ozarks, and thankful to the former owner of Theodosia Family Medical Clinic for this opportunity. “Lisa Duggan has run a great model of care for the time she owned the business, and we have really enjoyed and respected working with her on getting this agreement finalized,” said Gann.
The Theodosia Family Medical Clinic is located at 4900 State Highway 160 in Theodosia. Any changes to clinic hours will be provided to the community as the project moves forward.
Missouri Ozarks Community Health is a federally qualified health center established in 1996. Missouri Ozarks serves the counties of Douglas, Wright, Texas and Ozark. Various services are offered at clinics, including primary medical care, dental care, behavioral health care, prenatal care, pediatric care, women’s health, and pharmacy services.
